Tofu Feta…

This Tofu Feta recipe is the best vegan alternative to the traditional Feta Cheese.  When I hear Feta Cheese, immediately  the first thing that come into my mind is Greek Salad!  Different greens with onion, tomato, Kalamata Olives with an exquisite dressing and topped with Feta Cheese… One of the best Salads on earth!

Original Feta Cheese is predominately elaborated in Grecia from sheep milk.  What about people that is avoiding dairy products?

Plant Based Protein…

Tofu provides with 9 grams of plant-based protein on each 3 ounce serving.  No matter what is your reason to avoid dairy in your diet, it could be conviction, health or just preference, this is the recipe we need.  You can complete with this Tofu Feta a Greek salad or may be in a wrap with vegetables.  My favorite one is Bean Salad with Pigeon Peas and Mango.

Super easy to make and stays fresh in the refrigerator for many days.

Lets make Tofu Feta…

First, is very important to correctly prepare the tofu. It has to be slightly rinsed and dried before removing the majority of the water from the tofu with the Tofu Press.  This helps to preserve flavor and improve texture.

In a separate bowl mix the rest of the ingredients including the Nutritional Yeast and reserve it.  When the tofu is drained, take it out of the press, dice it and add it to a glass container with lid.

Tofu Scramble

Let’s add the mix that was reserved previously with the olive oil, lemon juice, Nutritional Yeast and spices to the tofu and close the lid.  Mix it with slight movement until completely combined.  This is the opportunity to add more salt and pepper if needed.

And we let It rest…

Tofu needs some time to absorb the flavors that we added.  Let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours but, next day will be more flavorful!

  • 1 block Extra Firm Tofu
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp dry oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp dry basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 2-3 tbsp. Lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil


  • Wash, dry and Press the Tofu with the Tofu Press
  • Dice the tofu block and add into a glass container with lid
  • In a separate bowl mix the rest of the ingredients.
  • Add the mix to the cubes in the container and mix until all the tofu is covered.
  • Close the container and let it marinate 2-4 hours, preferable overnight.
  • Great to top beans or green salads.
